The mission of the Health Information Department of Mid South Rehab Services, Inc. is to contribute to the quality of patient care through organization, maintenance and production of the health record while assuring confidentiality and integrity of the data presented.

 

Our Health Information Management ("HIM") Team includes a Registered Health Information Administrator and a Medical Review Nurse, supported by a fully-staffed Medical Records Team.

 

Our service-oriented HIM Department contributes to the quality of patient care through organization, maintenance and production of the health record. The HIM Department's focus is to ensure the protection, integrity and accuracy of the medical records. Documentation is stringently reviewed for adherence and compliance with CMS and all other payor guidelines. The HIM division also has extensive experience in both the pre-payment and post-payment review processes.

 

Therapists are updated on Medicare/Medicaid and other payor source policy changes. Confidentiality rules and regulations are achieved through training, memorandums and reference materials.

 

The services provided by this department ensure that all Employee Partners are prepared technically to meet state and federal guidelines. The extensive services provided by the HIM Department ensure that our customers are in strict compliance with all payor sources. The expert services provided by the HIM Department results in reduced denials and timely reimbursement.
