mmayer178

Mid South Celebrated Glioblastoma Awareness Day on Wednesday, July 19. This day is set aside each year in July to raise awareness and shine a light on Glioblastoma Brain tumors, the most common, complex, treatment-resistant, and deadliest type of brain cancer.

This day was to support survivors and their loved ones, to remember those who have lost their fight, and to honor those luminaries working toward a cure for this devastating disease.

Nikki Davis, our Mid South HIM Clerk/Insurance Verifications lost her husband, Jonny on July 1, 2021, to this disease. On this awareness day, Nikki's daughter Myia shared a moving story about her father and their family's experience during his illness. Mr. Cole spoke words of encouragement and shared about his neighbor's experience with this disease.
